John McNamara

Senior Inventor

John’s current role includes leading a team of technologists in the IBM Hursley Innovation Centre, a position he has enjoyed since January 2016. Prior to this, John has over ten years consultancy experience in IBM Messaging, Integration and Business Process technologies and has applied this experience to Avian Flu Containment, Defence, Banking and Pharmaceutical Industries. John is also an experienced speaker on innovation and regularly gives lectures at universities and to Partners on how to successfully innovate.

Ian Marshall

IT Specialist

Ian is based at the IBM Hursley Innovation Centre where he works with Power Platform and Storage infrastructure and, more recently, Watson Explorer. Ian has over 20 years’ experience at IBM with IBMi, AIX, Linux on Power and Mainframe, Linux, PowerVM and Z virtualisation platform. This encompasses IBM's on-prem openstack cloud technologies and persistent availability solutions. Ian has best fit knowledge of use cases for Watson API's and is developing his own skillset within this exciting arena of cognitive computing.

Adam de Leeuw

IT Specialist

Adam’s current role is to work with IBM business partners, helping them integrate their software solutions with technology from IBM including cloud, cognitive and analytics. His particular areas of expertise are IBM Bluemix, Watson Services, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Commerce and Sterling Order Management. Adam has almost 20 years consultancy experience with IBM middleware and Java Enterprise Edition development, applied to industries such as retail, financial services and healthcare for IBM customers worldwide.

Kieran O’Byrne

IT Architect , MBCS CITP MIET , TOGAF 9.1

Kieran’s been in this role for five years. He specialises in working with IBM Partners in the Telco, Media and Entertainment industries and also has a background working with Retail / Commerce Partners. Prior to this Kieran has more than 15 IBM years’ experience in both technical specialist and Sales specialist roles around IBM Collaboration Solutions. Kieran's main focus is IBM Watson although his remit spans across all IBM technologies. Kieran is TOGAF 9.1 certified and also a member of the Association of Enterprise Architects.

Andrew Blake

IT Architect , Watson Design Thinking Practitioner

Andrew is new to the job of industry architect but has worked as a Software Client Architect in the SI sector for the last 10 years. Within IBM, Andrew has worked as a Deployment Architect in the SI Sector and has directly worked as a Deployment Architect. Previously, Andrew ran a small team of SEs to support the Partner Base for TIVOLI and was responsible for developing and training partners in the TIVOLI product set.

Lisa Nicholson

IT Architect

Lisa helps business partners design and build their offerings on a range of technologies including Cloud and Analytics. Lisa has enjoyed a long and varied 25 year technical client-facing career in IBM including roles as a Software Architect, IT Specialist, Technical Project Manager and Consultant, with domain expertise in a broad range of industries such as Public Sector, Healthcare, Energy & Utilities and Financial Services.

Jag Jhajj

IT Architect, MBCS, CITP, TOGAF 9.1

Jag Jhajj is a certified TOGAF Architect. He currently works as a Solution Architect helping partners design and build industry solutions. He has experience in mobile banking, mobile payments, faster payments, KYC, and Cloud technologies. Jag is now applying his skills to the Healthcare Industry with a strategic focus on Watson and Cognitive technologies. Prior to this Jag spent 17 years in IBM supporting financial clients in a pre-sales capacity. This ranged from web enabling legacy applications to helping banks embrace web technologies (e-business) and develop roadmaps to embrace mobile technology.

Chris Tripp

Innovation Centre Leader

Chris joined IBM in 1998 and is based at IBM's UK Lab in Hursley near Winchester. Chris’ team of Solution IT Architects and Technical Consultants at the Innovation Centre are responsible for empowering IBM partners through technology led innovation and integration. After graduating with a degree in Electronic Communication Engineering Chris has held a number of positions including account management, business development, technical pre-sales and electronics design.
